Pastor Bio

Rev. James Alexander Jr. was born and raised in Waco, TX. He graduated from Waco High School in 1995. James attended Baylor University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communications with a concentration in Public Speaking in 2005. While at Baylor, he became a proud member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Incorporated. In 2014, he earned a Master of Theology degree from The American International Bible Institute and Seminary.
James accepted the call from God to preach the Gospel and was licensed on October 26, 2003, at Carver Park Baptist Church in Waco, TX, under the leadership of Pastor Gaylon Foreman. From 2010 to 2023, he served as the Director of Young Adult Ministries at Community Missionary Baptist Church of Desoto and Cedar Hill, TX, where Rev. Dr. Oscar D. Epps, Sr., was his Senior Pastor. James loves to laugh, play the drums, and sing. He also enjoys spending quality time with family and friends; especially his children, William and Karys Alexander.
